A bride-to-be Katrina always say, "I'm only going to get married once and I want it to be my Dream Wedding".

Alvin wanted to provide his fiancee Katrina a "Dream Wedding" that she deserves so he got an idea to create a Wedding Social Alternative since they didn’t want to go thru the hassle, cost and stress that comes in hosting a Wedding Social Event from booking a venue, a DJ, feeding hundreds of attendees with good food, providing booze and alcohol and mostly asking friends and family for prizes donations and their efforts to help up-sell during the event.
Being raised in Manitoba, where Wedding Social first originated, it is almost a must to hold a Wedding Social for newly engaged couple as a way to gain extra funding to help them pay for their wedding. After all, Weddings are getting more and more costly these days.
Hearing stories from other couples who have hosted their own Wedding Socials, there are some who made a few money, some broke even, and some who lost money. Most even said that holding a Wedding Social is more stressful than the actual Wedding itself.
With his previous background with E-COMMERCE, product development experience and successfully raising funds with a crowdfunding platform (Kickstarter), he created FlipfortheBigDay for engaged couples looking to raise funds for their big day.

FlipfortheBigDay provides a quick and more convenient fundraising strategy that eliminates the hassle and stress of holding a traditional Wedding Social Event. The purpose is not to pay for the whole wedding but having that extra help, would mean a lot.
